# Introduction

Welcome to the documentation for the Konnadex crypto payment gateway! This comprehensive guide is designed to assist users in understanding and utilizing the features and functionalities of our powerful tool for managing payments seamlessly. Konnadex operates in two different environments. The Test and Live environments...

**Test Environment**

In the test environment, business and personal account users are provided with test Tokens/coins to simulate transactions, test smart contracts, and experiment with blockchain-related functionalities on the Binance Smart Chain testnet without using real cryptocurrency. Customers can also integrate with Mock APIs to emulate Konnadex system interactions with external services, such as cryptocurrency exchanges, market data providers, or external wallet services.

For optimum safety and strict compliance with privacy regulations, users in the test environment are advised to avoid using their real data or make a repeat of the same data in the test environment in the production environment. The test environment should always use anonymized or synthetic data rather than real user data.

**Production/Live Environment**

This is the live and operational environment where Konnadex Merchant can do real transactions and data processing. It allows merchants to receive real funds on the Binance Smart Chain mainnet, Polygon mainnet, Near protocol mainnet, etc. The API keys and addresses on production are different from those on test environment.

In a nutshell, this is the actual system where konnadex customers can receive real crypto coins in their multi-chain wallet, pay staff salaries via the payroll feature, and settle invoices via the invoicing feature.

Here we utilize real blockchain or mainnet, real APIs, provide comprehensive security architecture, ensure system scalability, carry out routine performance optimization etc.
